From New York and Northern NJ:
Via Garden State Parkway south, Exit 48 to Route 9. Continue 8 miles until signs say Route 9 Cape May, bear to the right and Atlantic City straight ahead (Route 157). Continue on Route 157 for 7/10ths of a mile. At Church Street and Shore Road turn right up Church Street, continue for 100 feet then turn left into parking area.
From Philadelphia, PA and Southern NJ:
Atlantic City Expressway (east toward Atlantic City). Leave Expressway at Exit 5. At the top of the ramp turn left on to NEW ROAD - Route 9 going north. Stay on Route 9...to Route 30 WHITE HORSE PIKE...cross the Pike...the next traffic light and cross street is New Jersey Avenue...cross at the 2nd street Church Street...go 4/10ths of a mile...turn right into Pitney House parking area.
Getting to Atlantic City (and back):
By Car: Rt. 30 (the White Horse Pike) and 8 to 10 minute drive. Make a left from Shore Road onto Rt. 30 - stay in the left lane until you come to the 1st traffic light in Atlantic City, get in the right hand lane, you will see 2 Sunset motels on the right...at the 2nd Sunset motel make a right hand turn onto Martin Luther King Blvd. Follow this to the boardwalk, casinos (Caesars, Tropicana etc)
For Borgata, Harrah's & Trump Marina STAY in the left lane and follow the signs.
For Taj Mahal, Resorts, etc. continue on Rt. 30. STAY in the right lane and follow signs to your Casino of choice.
By Train: The railroad that Dr. Pitney started in 1854 takes you into Atlantic City in 8 minutes at a cost of only $1.00 (50 cents for seniors). When making your reservation ask for the train schedule to and from Atlantic City. A short walk from the Pitney House to the station is a convenient ride directly to the Convention Center and the "Walk" in Atlantic City.
