More than fourteen million USD
was contributed to the committee that is pro gambling expansion in Maryland;
most of this funding was contributed by MGM Resorts International that happens
to be the new casino’s potential operator. On the other hand, the opening of top online casinos can easily damage the existing business of the other casinos such as
the ones that are operated by Penn National Gaming Inc. This is why Penn National
has contributed more than thirteen million USD against the expansion of the
gambling activity in Maryland.
According to a statement from the
committee that supports the expansion, MGM has paid another three million USD
which makes the grand total of money paid by the company since August equal
eleven million dollars. The committee also got more than two million USD from another
gambling operator, CBAC Gaming LLC.
The fate of the Maryland gambling
expansion is still not clear and according to a poll that was conducted by Gonzales
Research & Marketing Strategies, the issue is still tied.
With the recent news from Maryland, and according to new updated online casino news www.onlinecasino.org the expected results from the legalization of Atlantic City online casinos will be a good response both financially and socially.
